// THE WORK

Real businesses.
Real sites, still running.

Nothing here is a concept. Every one of these is live, hosted on our server or the client's, and earning its keep.

Grasshopper Slick

Autobody & restoration · Moore, OK

A paint-and-panel shop that restores cars worth saving. The site had to feel like the shop floor, not a template.

Pergola Jack

Custom pergolas & outdoor living · Oklahoma City

A builder with thirty years of craft and no way to catch the people asking for quotes. The site's one job is to turn a visitor into a consultation.

RouteViz website, home page

// CUSTOM SOFTWARE

RouteViz

Route & job software for small service fleets

Built from scratch for a shredding company that was planning routes in spreadsheets. Now the office plans the day, drivers work each stop from a phone, and the paperwork sends itself.

You know the number before anything is built. If the scope changes, the number changes in writing first. No hourly meter.

Launch is day one,
not the finish line.

Every build is hosted on our own server and kept running after launch, because a site nobody maintains is a liability within a year.

HOSTED

$40/mo

Sites that rarely change.

  • Hosting on our server, with SSL
  • Software and security updates
  • Nightly off-site backups
  • Uptime monitoring with alerts
  • Changes billed at $100/hr

PRIORITY

$300/mo

Required for stores.

  • Everything in Care
  • 2 hours of changes each month
  • Same-day response
  • Store software and plugin updates, tested before they go live
  • Monthly analytics note
ASK ABOUT PRIORITY

We maintain the software: hosting, SSL, updates, backups, monitoring. You own the business side: products, prices, photos, copy, your payment and print-on-demand accounts, and your shipping rules. Those are configured once at build with the standard options. Anything beyond that, or beyond the included hours, is $100/hr, quoted first.

Billed monthly through Stripe. Cancel any time and take your files with you.

// HOW IT GOES

Four steps.
No surprises.

  1. 01

    Brief one call

    We talk through what the business actually needs, what you've got, and what you don't. You get a fixed scope and a fixed price in writing.

  2. 02

    Build 2–6 weeks

    Design and code happen together, by the same person. You see a working version early and often, not a mockup you have to imagine.

  3. 03

    Launch one day

    Domain, hosting, analytics, forms, search setup. It goes live on infrastructure we run, and you get the keys.

  4. 04

    Care ongoing

    Updates, backups, monitoring and small changes under the care plan. When something breaks, you have a number to call.

// WHO YOU'RE TALKING TO

One person. The whole stack.

I'm Adam Harper. Before this I spent seven years as Director of Information Systems for a trading company, which means I've run the servers, the software and the help desk for a real business, not just built pretty front-ends.

Harper Tech is deliberately small. You talk to the person who designs the site, writes the code, sets up the server and answers the phone when it breaks. There is no account manager, no offshore hand-off, and nothing built on a platform you'll have to pay rent to forever.

// STRAIGHT ANSWERS

Do you use WordPress, Wix or Squarespace?

Not for the sites. Every site is custom code you own, hosted on our server. Stores run on open-source commerce software with a custom front-end, so there's no platform fee and no percentage of sales.

What does the care plan actually cover?

The software. Hosting, SSL, updates, backups and monitoring, and on stores the WooCommerce and plugin updates, tested before they go live. The business side is yours: products, prices, photos, copy, and your Stripe, print-on-demand and shipping accounts. Those are set up once at build with the standard options. The Care and Priority plans include an hour or two of changes each month; beyond that it is $100 an hour, quoted before the work starts.

Can I update the site myself?

Yes, where it makes sense. Things that change often, like a jobs board, a menu or a price list, live in a simple editable file or a small admin page. Everything else is covered by the care plan.

What if I already have a site?

Send the link. Sometimes the right answer is a rebuild, sometimes it's a fix and a care plan. You'll get a straight answer either way.

Do you work outside Oklahoma City?

Yes. Most of this work is remote anyway. Local clients get an in-person brief if they want one.
